El Paso Coyotes Sign Three First Division Players

The El Paso Coyotes and the El Paso County Coliseum hosted their second press conference on Thursday August 25 2016 at Dave & Buster’s in El Paso. They had several announcements to make about the team and about upcoming events. The El Paso Coyotes presented 3 1st division players that have signed on with the team.

Tomas Campos is a Mexican professional player who was captain for Indios de Ciudad Juárez. He was part of the Cruz Azul side that became the first Mexican team to reach the finals of the Copa Libertadores. A left-sided defender, Campos earned seven caps for the Mexican National Team in the eliminatories for the Korea-Japan World Cup in 2001 and 2002. He was champion with Indios of Ciudad Juarez and because of his leadership he’s know as “El Capitan” (The Captain).

Juan Agusto “El Che” Gomez played professional soccer in Argentina and in Mexico with Tigres of UANL, he also played with Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz and with Indios de Ciudad Juarez where he became champion and won the promotional game to 1st division vs Leon. He is known for his incredible goals from outside the area and his great ability to move the ball.

Juan Daniel “Maleno” Frias is an icon for the El Paso-Juarez area. He played for Tigres of UANL, he played for the El Paso Patriots and for the Indios of Ciudad Juarez where he became champion and lead the team to first division vs Leon, he became the leading striker with 30 goals. Another great accomplishment was going to Copa Libertadores playing with first division team Jaguarez de Chiapas.
