DALLAS COMEBACK COMES UP SHORT, 8-6 TO OUTLAWS

Allen, TX - The Dallas Sidekicks took on the Mesquite Outlaws for the Sidekicks’ third game of the season.

The first quarter of the game was dominated by the Outlaws scoring five goals. Goals were scored by Luiz Morales with two goals, David Ortiz, Sebastian Mendes, and Brenden Lee. The score at the end of the first quarter was 0-5.

The Sidekicks played better defensively in the second quarter by allowing only one goal in. That goal was scored by Sebastian Mendes at the 12:56 mark of the game. The score was 0-6 going into halftime.

In the third quarter, Outlaws player, Darren Mitchell scored at the 9:35-minute mark. However, Albert Rodriguez started the scoring sheet for the Sidekicks scoring a goal at the 10:21 minute mark. Shortly after, Outlaws player, David Ortiz scored his second goal of the game. The score a the end of the third quarter was 1-8.

In the fourth quarter of the game, the Sidekicks had a “Never Say Die” attitude scoring five goals and not allowing any goals in from the Outlaws. Goals were scored by Gustavo Piedra, Jamie Lovegrove, and three goals from Albert Rodriguez. The final score of the game was 6-8

The Man of the Match was Albert Rodriguez who scored four goals during the game. This is Rodriguez’s first season with the Sidekicks.

The Sidekicks are on the road this Saturday against the Outlaws where the Sidekicks hope to bounce back form the loss tonight.
