Chris Toth voted Sporturf Player of the Week

by Jeff Husted

KANSAS CITY (Mar. 5, 2020) – The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today that Ontario Fury goalkeeper Chris Toth has been voted the Week Fifteen Sporturf Player of the Week. This is Toth’s first Player of the Week honor this season and he is the second Fury player to earn the award, following Franck Tayou in Week Five.

The Player of the Week is voted on each week by MASL fans and MASL teams. Tacoma Stars defender Alex Caceres was second in this week’s voting.

The Ontario Fury are one of the hottest teams in the league currently and Toth has been a big part of that. Facing the defending champion Milwaukee Wave last weekend, Toth stood tall against 21 shots. He only allowed three goals and earned a .857 save percentage in the Fury’s big win.

The Fury will hope to remain hot as they face the Tacoma Stars at home on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. PT. The exciting match with major playoff implications can be seen live on MASL.tv.
