After the winter break, Chihuahua Savage and Monterrey Flash return to action in the third edition of the "Mexican Classic" in the Major Arena Soccer League. The match is set to take place this Friday, January 5th, at 8:00 PM at the Arena Corner Sport in Chihuahua.

This encounter, part of the 2023-2024 regular season of the Major Arena Soccer League, will be the second of its kind held at the "Monstruo Verde" (Green Monster) in the capital of the State of Chihuahua. It's worth noting that the "Destello Regiomontano" (Regiomontano Flash) claimed victory in the first duel with a score of 10 goals to 6.

Everardo Sánchez's team enters the match with a focused mindset on urgently securing 3 points, having closed 2023 with two consecutive defeats, specifically against Monterrey Flash. This places them in the third position in the Western Conference with a record of 2 wins, 2 losses, and 6 points earned.

On the other hand, the squad led by Luis Jaime Borrego also sits in the third spot in the Eastern Conference with an undefeated record of 5 victories, amassing 14 points after winning against the Milwaukee Wave with a golden goal in overtime.

In the four regular-season encounters between these two teams at the Arena Corner Sport, Savage has won two of them, while Flash is among the few teams to have secured 3 points in that venue by winning the first match between these two teams in the current season.
