Brazilian Veteran Defender to Make Indoor Debut with SeaWolves

ORLANDO, FL – The Orlando SeaWolves bolstered their defense, their Brazilian flair, and their soccer experience with the signing of Pedro Raphael “Rafa” Tobias. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.

Tobias has played his entire junior and professional career outdoors in Brazil playing for such well-known clubs as Corinthians, Botafogo, and Parana. He last played with Paraiba in 2017.

With his 34th birthday coming July 19, Tobias will now make the transition indoors. The midfielder will also take on a more defensive role with Orlando. SeaWolves General Manager Chris Kokalis has made defense a priority as he constructs the team’s roster.

“Rafa's physicality along with his composure in the back will be a great addition to our defense," said Kokalis. “His great technical ability on the ball will make him a very dangerous weapon for us in his first MASL season.”
