Blast to Host Canadian National Team

Game Sponsored by MedStar Sports Medicine, on August 4th at SECU Arena

The  Baltimore Blast are pleased to announce a special arena soccer game,  brought to you by MedStar Sports Medicine, the Official Medical Team of  the Baltimore Blast. The game is scheduled for Saturday, August 4, 2018 at SECU Arena on the campus of Towson University.  The  three time Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) defending champion  Baltimore Blast will be playing the Canadian National Arena Soccer Team.  The game time for this special event is 7:05 P.M.

The Canadian National Team is preparing for the WMF Arena Soccer World Championship in October in Sonora, Mexico.  In preparation, the Canadian National Team has a series of games versus the USA Team and the Mexican National Team.  The game at Towson is another game to prepare for their goal of winning the WMF Arena Soccer World Championship.

The Canadian National Team is comprised of several all-star players from the MASL.  Coached  by Giuliano Oliviero of the Milwaukee Wave, their roster tentatively  includes Ian Bennett and Josh Lemos from the Wave along with outstanding  midfielder Vahid Assadpour formerly of the Kansas City Comets among  other notable names. An official roster will be announced within the  next two weeks.

Blast owner, Ed Hale, said, “The Baltimore Blast are excited to play the Canadian National Team on August 4th at 7:05. This is the beginning of our back-to-back-to-back championship  title defense. This represents a USA vs. Canada game which is timely.  The Canadians have a great team and will be a formidable opponent with  many familiar players.”

Tickets  for this event at SECU Arena will be priced the same as a MASL game  with individual tickets priced at $50, $40, $30, $28 and $23. Individual  tickets will go on sale on Friday, July 6. Tickets will be available at  ticketmaster.com or by contacting the Blast office at 410-732-5278.
