BLAST ANNOUNCE THREE PLAYERS SIGNINGS

Thomas and Deasel Re-sign with team, Jayme Kapinos Added to Roster

October 1, 2018 - Baltimore, MD - Baltimore Blast Vice President of Soccer Operations, Mike Conway, announced today that the team has re-signed Forward Jamie Thomas and Defender Mike Deasel as well as adding Defender Jayme Kapinos to the roster. Per league policy, details of the agreements were not released.

Jamie Thomas, who is entering his third season in the MASL, all with the Baltimore Blast, scored 7 goals and 1 assist last season and an additional goal and assist during the 2017-18 playoff series.

Mike Deasel, has played 80 games in the MASL, all with the Baltimore Blast. He joined the Blast late last season after recovering from a torn ACL. In the the last 4 regular season games and playoffs he recorded 5 blocks. Deasel is a well rounded defender who has scored 12 goals and 3 assists during his career.

Jayme Kapinos is entering his fifth season in the MASL, this is his first with the the Baltimore Blast. After taking last season off, Jayme will be joining his twin brother, Blast goalkeeper Joey Kapinos on the field in Baltimore.

He can play multiple positions, and he contributes on both sides of the ball equally well. Mike Deasel is a steady, veteran defender and leader who will help anchor our defense.

Jayme Kapinos was a solid defender from the Rochester Lancers who has proven himself in this league, and can push our current group of defenders for minutes right away.”
