BALTIMORE BLASTS UTICA 8-4 SUNDAY

UTICA, NY – Utica City FC fell to the Baltimore Blast 8-4 Sunday afternoon. The teams were tied at halftime, but the the Blast took advantage of Utica’s mistakes in the second half. Juan Pereira scored four goals for Baltimore in the win.

While the Blast opened the first quarter with two goals, Utica City came roaring back with three of their own. Dominic Vitale got their first of the day at 2:21 of the 2nd. 4 minutes later, Christian Segura added a goal assisted by Bo Jelovac. Quenton Swift would cap off the three goal run and tie the game up going into halftime

Isiah Dorsey scored within 39 seconds of the third quarter breaking the tie. It took a lovely Patrick Thompson goal set up by Bo Jelovac to tie it back up at 12:14 of the 3rd.

The Blast would yet again score again a minute and half into the fourth by Jereme Raley. Baltimore would score three times in the final 10 minutes of the game and win 8-4.

UCFC outshot the blast 26-20 in the loss, and fell to 2-5 on the season. They will battle Ontario next Sunday, January 23rd at 2:00 P.M. UCFC hosts Ted Lasso day with new merchandise, giveaways and fun at the Adirondack Bank Center!
