The Ambush got on the board when Pepe Junqueira scored on a restart at 9:11. The equalizer for St. Louis came at 12:04 when Ado Jahic placed a shot out of reach of Dallas goalkeeper Estevan Vazquez. The first period ended with a 2-2 score.

Dallas went on the first power play of the night when Jahic was sent to the penalty box for a contact above the shoulder penalty at 9:34. Sam Guernsey turned the tables on Dallas when he went on a breakaway and was able to get a shot passed Vazquez to make it a 5-2 game at 10:34. Things got chippy near the end of the first half, with some shoving and verbal altercations, but no further scoring, giving the visitors a 5-2 lead and half time.
The lone goal in the third frame belonged to the Ambush, when Marcel Berry found the back of the net at 10:53, for their sixth unanswered goal and a 6-2 lead.
