Ambush Sign Brazilian Futsal Star Magui

St. Charles, MO – The St. Louis Ambush today announced the signing of Brazilian defender Magoistais Jose de Souza, known as Magui. Per league and team policies, terms of the agreement were not announced.

Magui (pronounced muh-GEE) is a native of Sao Paulo and brings over eight years of futsal experience to the Ambush, where he will be reunited with former teammate, Ambush goalkeeper Paulo Nascimento. Magui has played in the Brazilian National Futsal League for teams like Marreco, Corinthians, and Sao Paulo FC plus other futsal teams in the southern region of Brazil. He won the Sao Paulo State Championship and Cup while earning many individual awards, including being selected to the league first team in 2002 and 2005.

Ambush Head Coach Hewerton said, “I’m very excited to have Magui on the team next season. His physicality, technical handling and experience will help our defense tremendously and also build our offense from the back.”
