KANSAS CITY (March 19, 2017) – Following the completion of the Eastern and Western Conference Finals this past weekend, the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced the schedule for the 2018 Ron Newman Cup Championship. The Monterrey Flash, as the owners of the league’s best regular season record, will host the Baltimore Blast on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 5:05 p.m. Central Standard Time.

This 2018 Ron Newman Cup Championship is a rematch of the 2015 MASL title game, where the Monterrey Flash beat the Baltimore Blast. Since then, the Blast have won the past two MASL Championships. There are eighteen players from that game on this year’s rosters, with each team returning nine players.

As part of the Championship Week festivities, the MASL will host a Press Conference on Saturday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. At the press conference, Commissioner Joshua Schaub will speak on the state of the league, award the MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors.

On Sunday, fans of arena soccer can enjoy a full day of Championship excitement on MASLtv. The MASL’s developmental league, MASL2 (M2), will broadcast the inaugural M2 Third Place Game at 10:30 a.m. Central Standard Time and the Championship game at 1:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.
