ONTARIO FURY ANNOUNCE ANNUAL KIDS TAKE OVER EVENT

The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, are now taking submissions for the third annual “Kids Take Over Fury” event, set in conjunction with Baldy View ROP and Fury Foundation.

Youths in grades six through 12 will have the chance to apply to spend a game day working along side members of the Fury staff as they prepare and present the Fury’s Jan. 27 game against the Dallas Sidekicks.

“This is one of my favorite events of the year,” said Cynthia Lilavois, the Fury’s Director of Operations and Vice President of the Fury Foundation. “It makes me proud to give these young people a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And to see the passion and energy they bring to the work lifts up the entire staff of the Fury.”

Interested students will apply for one of 25 positions available for the program, including tasks as varied as PA Announcer, Ticket Sales, Dance Team Director and Equipment Manager. Each applicant will receive two free tickets to the night’s game. Students will submit an application, including a resume, and will be interviewed for one of the available positions.

Youths may also apply for a scholarship through the Fury Foundation, and can also nominate a teacher for the work they do at school and in their community. Students must be available to arrive at the arena by 4:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. start of the game.

All the information is available online at OntarioFury.com/kids-take-over-fury. Deadline for applications is Jan. 16, 2017, and candidates will be scheduled for interviews Jan. 18-24.
