MASL 2018 Free Agent Period - The Results!

The 2018 MASL Free Agent Period officially came to a close on Tuesday night. In it's second year, the open signing period was much more active than last season. Teams had a two-week period from May 1 until May 15 to talk with and sign any players who were no longer under contract or had contracts expiring before November 1, 2018.

The St. Louis Ambush kicked off the official announcements by signing Antonio Manfut on May 7. Over the next several days, the San Diego Sockers were the most active, making four announcements in the past week as they look to add the final pieces for a championship run. Meanwhile, the Tacoma Stars made sure to keep their most important piece at home by re-signing goalkeeper Danny Waltman.

Altogether, there were ten player contracts announced during this period. While there are likely more announcements to come, teams will now begin to focus their personnel departments on retaining their own talent and recruiting new players from around the world.
