Barracudas Adds Another Local and MASL Veteran to their Roster

HIDALGO, Texas (Oct. 13^th,2018) – With the Rio Grande Valley Barracudas’ announcement of a total of five players thus far, the Barracudas went on to confirm Carlos Hernandez as their sixth official player for their 2018-2019 season. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Carlos Hernandez (Poper) is a local from Reynosa, Tamaulipas as well as an MASL veteran originally holding a contract with Monterrey Flash in the 2017-2018 MASL season. Hernandez has accepted the Barracudas’ offer and will be joining them this season to defend the Rio Grande Valley.

Barracudas’ general Manager Oscar Ruvalcaba Jr states, “The fans like to see familiarity and the fact that Hernandez is a local allows our fan base to feel right at home … his expertise with arena soccer is also a huge plus.”
